FDA Problem drugs: Quetiapine (Seroquel) mentioned

by brainmenu 7. September 2008 03:09

The U.S. Food and Drug administration has published a list of potential problem drugs which they have identified and one of the drugs mentioned is Quetiapine (Seroquel) because of "Overdose due to sample pack labeling confusion".

BUT please don't stop taking your medication just because it's listed. From the page "FDA wants to emphasize that the listing of a drug and a potential safety issue on this Web site does not mean that FDA is suggesting prescribers should not prescribe the drug or that patients taking the drug should stop taking the medication. Patients who have questions about their use of the identified drug should contact their health care provider. FDA will complete its evaluation of each potential signal/new safety information and issue additional public communications as appropriate."

P.S
Sorry for not posting much at the moment. I'm working hard on resolving some issues at the moment and find it hard to write about them but I am confident normal service should resume soon.
